Nae will partner with Cellnex to integrate Polkomtel Infrastruktura’s active network

In July of this year, the main infrastructure operator for wireless telecommunication in Europe closed the acquisition of Polkomtel Infrastruktura, Cyfrowy Polsat’s subsidiary in Poland

Cellnex announced in February the acquisition of Polkomtel Infrastruktura, involving an investment of €1.6 billion and an additional program to roll out up to 1,500 sites, as well as investments in active equipment, mostly for 5G, for a further €600 million over the next 10 years.

This transaction allows Cellnex to evolve its traditional tower operator model towards an integrated telecommunications infrastructure management model, combining the operation of passive and active elements in RAN networks.
