The impact of technology and the opportunities of digitalization at an event organized by ESADE Alumni and F.C. Barcelona
November 11 and 12 marked the second edition of the event that has consolidated itself as a meeting point for analyzing the impact of technology in the sports world. The activities were divided into two parts. The first focused on technology applied to sports activities, such as systems that track performance. The second addressed the three main areas for understanding the present and future of the sports business: Big Data, Smart Stadiums, and Mobile First.
The event included speakers from leading European football teams and leagues, the NBA, the United States Olympic Committee, as well as companies and organizations such as Facebook and Crowell University.
Cristóbal Escoda, Managing Director of Nae, moderated the Smart Stadiums session with representatives from Ajax, Arsenal, Texas A&M University, and the Super Bowl.
